Seaboard Triumph Foods Celebrates 2 Years
We are thrilled to celebrate a momentous milestone: our second anniversary. And on top of that, the employment of 2,400 fantastic people from all over the world, representing some of the most talented individuals in the industry to bring our facility to full operations.
Focused on high quality, consistent, wholesome pork, Seaboard Triumph Foods—a joint venture between Seaboard Foods and Triumph Foods—has worked efficiently, diligently, and honestly to create a first class pork processing plant right here in the heart of Siouxland.
This didn’t happen overnight and would be impossible without the help of thousands of hardworking individuals with a belief in better, more sustainable pork production.
Four years ago, in May of 2015, the land for our state-of-the-art facility was purchased, with construction starting September 2015. Almost exactly two years later, in September of 2017, we started operations, beginning with one shift and ramping up to 1,100 employees. That year, we were processing upwards of 10,500 head of market hogs or over 4 million pounds of pork a day—that’s a lot of meat!
It’s hard to believe that since then we’ve more than doubled the number of quality people we employ, launched a second shift, and ramped up our production numbers substantially—providing excellent pork products to families and companies across the globe.
But it’s not just about pork; it’s about community, integrity and giving back, showing up when we’re needed. It’s about creating an environment people love to be part of—day in and day out.
We’re proud of our products we produce, but we’re even prouder of our workforce producing that product safely. Without their integrity, commitment to safety, innovative ideas, diverse backgrounds, and can-do attitudes, our company wouldn’t exist. They are the heart of Seaboard Triumph Foods, and today we’re celebrating them.
We’re two years strong and here to stay. We look forward to another year of innovation, collaboration, and progress, but for now, we take this time for reflection and celebration. Cheers!
