Mark comes with a wealth of pork and broader food industry experience. His most recent assignment has been vice president, operations for a well-respected national food company, where he was responsible for the manufacturing network across the country. Porter’s prior professional experience includes a variety of operational roles with large food companies and 8 years in the U. S. Navy as a Submarine Operations Officer. Mark and his wife of 26 years, DeAnna, moved to Sioux City in the spring of 2016.
RYAN BOEN - VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING
Ryan joined the STF team in November 2016. He is a CPA and earned his Masters in Professional Accountancy from the University of South Dakota and is currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Leadership from Creighton University. Ryan has experience as an interim CFO and is an accomplished, senior financial leader with nearly 10 years of ‘Big 4’, ‘Fortune 500’, and international accounting experience.
NEIL PUETZ - DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING
Neil brings over 20 years of industrial maintenance to Seaboard Triumph Foods. He started his career in northwest Iowa and has received numerous awards and certifications in electrical, PLC Programming, food safety and leadership training. After a ten-year career with a major food processing company in Waterloo, Iowa, and a nine-year career with Triumph Foods in St. Joseph, Missouri, Neil is glad to be back home in Northwest Iowa. Neil and his wife Kari reside in Hinton, Iowa.
DAVID (DAVE) CARY - VICE PRESIDENT OF HOG PROCUREMENT
Dave has over 36 years of experience in the swine industry. While most of it is in procurement, Dave spent five years specializing in risk management philosophies, strategies and execution. Dave is excited to build partnerships with producers to maximize the value of the partnership to them as well as to the processing facility. Dave and his wife have two children and five grandchildren.
MAX ENGLAND - DIRECTOR OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND ANALYTICS
Max joined Seaboard Triumph Foods in 2016. Having been part of industry since 2000, he’s held R&D and Operations roles with several major pork processors. Growing up on a farm in Northern Illinois and working at the Meat Science Lab during college cultivated his passion for pork and the meat industry. Max holds a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Meat Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana. Max and his wife Emily enjoy gardening, home improvement, and spending time with their pets
BRIAN DESCHEPPER - VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Brian brings over 27 years of food industry experience with well-respected national companies to STF. Brian says the new, state-of-the-art plant coupled with a strong culture and great management team are what motivated him to join the company. Brian and his wife Kari are proud parents of three adult children and are excited be back home in Siouxland. They enjoy family activities, social events and helping others in the community through their church and other organizations.
BRIDEY HAYES - DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Bridey joined Seaboard Triumph Foods in May, 2016. She has over eighteen-years of Human Resource experience in both the food industry as well as the public sector. A generalist at heart, Bridey’s passion for Human Resources stems from the variety that each day brings and the opportunity to have a positive impact on employees as well as the business. She has a degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management from Kansas State University. Bridey and her husband have three children. In her free time, Bridey enjoys spending time with family, reading and cheering for her children’s sports teams.
