Goodwill Shoe & Mitten Drive

This year, a large group of us came together to volunteer at the Goodwill Shoe & Mitten Drive - a cherished tradition that has been serving our community for over 80 years. This incredible initiative provides children from kindergarten through 8th grade with brand new shoes, socks, mittens, and hats, ensuring they have the essentials to stay warm during the winter months. Every dollar donated goes directly toward making sure no child is left without the items they need.

The joy on the children’s faces was unforgettable - a simple pair of shoes or warm mittens brought so much happiness. One volunteer, reflecting on the experience, shared “This was my first time volunteering, and my only regret was not doing it sooner. I enjoyed every minute of it. Every kid’s smile made me smile the whole time.” - Carla

For many, this event has become a meaningful tradition. “My daughter and I try to volunteer each year - we look forward to it,” said another volunteer.

It was truly heartwarming to witness the outpouring of support from volunteers representing various organizations. Seeing so many people united by a shared purpose remined us of the power of community. Coming together to support one another is what his season - and this drive - is all about.
