Knife Skill Competition - Skills & Fun

At Seaboard Triumph Foods, continuous improvement is more than a goal, it’s part of our culture. Across every department, our team members are committed to growing their skills, supporting one another, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. That commitment was on full display during our recent Knife Skills Competition, hosted by the Training Department.

This hands‑on event offered participants the opportunity to showcase the precision, technique, and safety practices they use every day. Knife skills are an essential part of many roles at STF, and the competition provided a fun yet meaningful way to reinforce proper handling, efficiency, and attention to detail. Beyond the friendly challenge, it served as an important reminder of how critical strong technique is to keeping our workplace safe and our production processes running smoothly.

The Training Department designed the competition not only to test technical abilities but also to highlight the growth that comes from ongoing learning. Whether participants were seasoned employees or newer team members refining their craft, the event demonstrated the shared dedication that helps strengthen our workforce.

After a competitive and spirited showing, we were proud to recognize the top performers:

  • 1st Place: Nolan Diaz

  • 2nd Place: Floy Bahimba

  • 3rd Place: Lacy McNeil

These individuals stood out for their accuracy, control, and consistent application of safety standards. Their hard work reflects the excellence we strive for across the organization.

We extend congratulations to all who participated. Your willingness to learn, challenge yourselves, and support one another is what makes STF stronger every day. The Knife Skills Competition was more than a contest, it was a celebration of personal growth, teamwork, and the ongoing commitment that drives our success.
