Gospel Mission Food Drive Challenge Results

First and foremost, a huge shout‑out to everyone who participated in our Gospel Mission Food Drive Challenge. The generosity, teamwork, and dedication shown across our organization truly made this initiative a success.

Thanks to your collective efforts, we gathered an impressive 4,040 food items this year, surpassing last year’s total of 3,729 items. Even more inspiring was the increased participation from departments across the organization, highlighting just how strong our commitment to giving back continues to be.

Yesterday, all donated items were delivered to the Gospel Mission, and the impact was immediately clear. Seeing a van and two cars filled with food was an incredibly rewarding moment and brought many smiles to the Gospel Mission team. These donations make a significant difference for an organization that serves three meals a day, 365 days a year, supporting individuals from all backgrounds who are experiencing difficult times. Your generosity helps provide nourishment, hope, and support to those who need it most.

We would also like to recognize the departments whose participation stood out this year. The Custodial Department led the way by collecting 1,894 items, followed by the Stockyards Department with 690 items, and HR Groups with 408 items. Additional contributions came from Accounting/Payroll (308 items), Maintenance/IT (262 items), Health Services & Safety (222 items), Operations (153 items), Knife Room/Training (55 items), and FSQA (48 items). Every single contribution—big or small—played an important role in making this food drive such a meaningful success.

Thank you all for your compassion, generosity, and teamwork. Together, we are making a real difference in our community.
