Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month

During the month of May, we proudly celebrated AAPI Heritage Month by recognizing the cultures, traditions, and contributions that help make our workplace stronger and more inclusive. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from one another, reflect on shared experiences, and celebrate the diversity within our team.

We kicked off the month with a special employee spotlight video featuring one of our Sanitation team members, who shared her personal story and gave us a glimpse into her culture and background. Her experiences helped us better appreciate the diverse perspectives represented throughout our organization.

We also kept the celebration fun and interactive with activities designed to bring team members together. One favorite was our AAPI-themed coloring event, where team members helped create a large community mural while taking time to relax, unwind, and get creative. Participants were also entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $25 gift card.

Another highlight of the month was our AAPI Bingo event. With back-to-back games, lots of laughter, and exciting company T-shirt prizes up for grabs, team members enjoyed some friendly competition while celebrating together.

AAPI Heritage Month was filled with learning, creativity, and connection. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the month a memorable celebration of culture, community, and inclusion.
