Seaboard Triumph Foods Named Headline Sponsor of The Food Bank Of Siouxland 17th Annual 'Empty Bowls' Hunger Awareness Event

For the third year, Seaboard Triumph Foods is proud to be the headline sponsor of The Food Bank of Siouxland 17th annual Empty Bowls virtual fundraising and hunger awareness event.

This year for the event’s virtual cook-off, one of the STF directors took to the kitchen.

Given 90 minutes to prepare a main dish and a dessert, each contestant received a box of food similar to what the Food Bank provides the community – with a special addition of Daily’s Premium Meats® bacon from STF. And to add a twist, contestants had to use flavored popcorn from Jolly Time in their creations.

Facing tough competition, (Candice Nash from Powell Communications) STF created a mushroom-gravy omelet with a peanut butter deep-fried popcorn dessert.

And when the judges votes came in, Chef STF came out as the food bank’s first ever Mystery Basket Cooking Competition champion!

As a producer of top-quality pork products, STF is proud to help the fight against hunger in the Siouxland community alongside the Food Bank of Siouxland. The event raised over $38,000 for hunger relief in Siouxland.
