Mark Porter leads Seaboard Triumph Foods from the COO Chair, although he is hardly ever caught sitting down. “After my military service, I transitioned to the food industry and found exactly what I was looking for in a high-speed, challenging, and rewarding career,” said Porter. “I can’t imagine working in any other industry.”
Regardless of what the weather may do in the next few weeks, the hibernation of winter is officially over. The fields are starting to see some activity, our construction site is making significant progress on its exterior, and the area schools and athletic teams are warming up for another great season of sports and academic achievement.

We sat down with Irving Jensen, Director of Communications, Community Relations, and Government Affairs at STF to talk about the new Sioux City plant, the goals for the coming year, and what people can expect as construction nears completion in the coming months.
A lot has happened since Seaboard and Triumph first joined forces in early 2014. Construction started in earnest the following year, and the newly formed Seaboard Triumph Foods went right to work with laying the groundwork for community involvement right along the with the cement forms for its new facility.
