Seaboard Triumph Foods Coronavirus Statement – March 13, 2020
To protect the health and well-being of our employees, our customers and the communities we call home, Seaboard Triumph Foods is committed to doing our part to proactively address the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidance, Seaboard Triumph Foods has/is:
Postponed all non-essential business travel as well as visits to our plants, barns and offices. We are also canceling our employees’ participation at large trade shows and conferences.
Screening vendors and suppliers as necessary before they are allowed entry to our facilities.
Asking employees who feel sick to not come to work and sending any employee who appears sick home.
Using our health services department and web-based physician services to help assess employees who don’t feel well at plants and remote locations.
Reminded our employees of our sick/leave policies and are encouraging them to practice preventive measures even while outside of work.
Posted additional educational signage in all of our offices and facilities to ensure everyone is reminded about how they can to reduce the spread of germs - this including the importance of handwashing and proper handwashing techniques.
Installed additional hand sanitizers in our operations.
Increased custodial services in employee commons areas and commonly touched surfaces.
Holding daily executive leadership meetings to review the situation.
Additionally, our business continuity plan is guiding us as we assess potential risks to our connected food system and determine how to proactively limit and mitigate any potential disruptions. If we are made aware of a confirmed coronavirus case at one of our locations, we will notify our employees at that work location.

As we continue to closely monitor the situation, we will continue to follow the guidance of experts and adapt to face the demands of this developing situation.
